Who we are

The Academic Integrity Ambassadors (AIAs) are a team of volunteer students whose aim is to promote a culture of Academic Integrity across the university in a way that will resonate with other students. They do this by creating and attending events to engage with students and communicate information about Academic Integrity. They also create and signpost resources to support students in being better informed about the University’s expectations about Academic Integrity.

The AIA team act as role models and student voices of Academic Integrity and are a link between staff and students.

The AIA team are students, just like yourselves, so their role is to help you gain a better understanding of Academic Integrity, in a friendly and supportive way. They can help you locate resources, and get support from faculty, staff, and student services. They are also there to listen to you!

Qualifications and Desired Skills

You must be a Swansea University student. Undergraduate students must have completed at least one semester of their studies. Graduate students may apply at any point in their studies
A willingness to learn about Academic Integrity, and ability to attend training to become and Academic Integrity Ambassador
Good communication skills and interpersonal skills
Confidence for public speaking and engagement activities
Enthusiastic, reliable, punctual and committed to the programme
Ability to work as part of a team

As an Academic Integrity Ambassador you will:

Attend a training session to help you understand your role and to give you a broader understanding of Academic Integrity
Attend bi-monthly AIA meetings
Prepare, organise, and run student-led workshops on topics around Academic Integrity
Support and organise events around Academic Integrity throughout the semester
Visit classes, lectures, and tutorials to introduce the Ambassador programme and to raise awareness of Academic Integrity
Assist with the development of written resources, media content and/or video material around Academic Integrity
Engage in promotional activities and initiatives as decided by the Ambassador team once recruited
