The Rhys Davies Short Story Competition understands the importance of protecting any personal information that it collects from authors and publishers, and anyone who engages with the competition.

GDPR is a regulation by which the European Parliament, the Council of the European Union and the European Commission intend to strengthen and unify data protection for all individuals within the European Union (EU).

What are we doing to comply?

  • Continuing to review systems and processes that manage data
  • Consultation with a Data Protection Officer to oversee data compliance

How we use your data

When you submit an entry to the Rhys Davies Short Story Competition, your name, email address, affiliation, and other contact details the competition might require will be used for the regular operations of the competition.  We will not use your contact details for marketing purposes unless you have explicitly agreed to receive these types of communications.

We have practices in place to ensure that steps are taken to maintain the security, integrity, and privacy of the personal data collected and processed.
