Thrive, Nepal and Sri Lanka Bursaries

The Thrive, Nepal and Sri Lanka Bursaries are available to new International fee paying, self-funding students enrolling on a taught course and are based on country of domicile.  A full list of eligible countries and other bursary conditions can be found in the bursary Terms and Conditions below.

These are automatic bursaries without the need for a separate application as long as you meet the eligibility criteria. 

International Excellence Scholarships

Applications for September 2026 entry will open at 12:00 GMT on the 2nd March 2026.

Each year we have a number of International Excellence Scholarships available for students who have already demonstrated academic excellence or show potential to do so during their time at Swansea University.

Scholarships are awarded as a discount on tuition fees and worth up to £7,000*.  Full terms and conditions will be available on the relevant form when applications open.

*Up to £5,000 awarded in Year 1, and further £2,000 awarded in Year 2 subject to achieving a 70% average (for £5,000 awardees only).
