Teaching Interests

PM-263 Health Services Research: The module encourages students to describe and articulate key concepts, theories, and terminology underpinning Health Services Research.

PM-344 Capstone Project: The aim of this module is to provide a capstone experience to students learning, through participating in their own enquiry-based research project. The project may be laboratory or non-laboratory based, but it will always involve a research question that is drawn from the literature and focused on a topic relevant to the life sciences and will allow students to refine their oral and written communication skills to a graduate-level.

PhD supervision

  • Maternity care experiences of refugees and asylum seekers in England and Wales (ESRC DTP Award)
  • The role of patient-clinician interactions and their organisational context in diagnostic overshadowing in Central Nervous System (CNS) mediated Systemic Autoimmune Rheumatic Diseases (SARDs) (self funded)
