About
Amy obtained her BSc in Physical Geography at Leicester University and went on to complete her MSc in Geographic Information Systems there. She then completed a PhD at Swansea University in Public Health. Following three years in a postdoctoral research position investigating the impact of availability of greenspace on health, she has recently begun a Fellowship investigating how the built environment impacts on adolescent Mental Health. Amy is particularly interested in creating complex spatial models to represent how populations engage with their local environment and linking this with health data to generate new insights on how to improve public health.
Amy teaches on several courses including PM 259 Contemporary themes and techniques in medical sciences, PM374 Child Health, PMIM 502 Health Data Visualisation.
