At Swansea, Blair is a Senior Bid Writer with the GREAT network, focused on advancing gambling research and harm reduction strategies.
Since earning his PhD in 2022—an ethnographic study on EU Roma migrants in Scotland—Blair has specialized in societal inequalities, with a focus on migration and gambling research, particularly the intersection between sport, gaming, and gambling.
Alongside his role at Swansea University, Blair serves as a Research Associate and Lecturer at the University of Glasgow, where he convenes the Institute of Health and Wellbeing’s Social Scientists in Health group. His work with Glasgow’s Gambling Research Group (GRG) includes:
