About

My nursing career started as a Registered General Nurse until I became a Health Visitor where my interest focussed on public health, children and young people. My lecturing experience over the last 20 years has enabled me to share my passion of public health and community nursing. I am the current programme director for the Health Visiting and School Nursing programmes and the MSc in Community & Primary Health Care Practice programme within the School of Health and Social Care.  I am committed to improving the health of children and young people in Wales and have written numerous articles and a chapter for a Children and Young People’s nursing textbook. I am a Senior Fellow of AdvanceHE and enjoy supporting and mentoring colleagues to further their expertise in learning and teaching.
