About
Dr Chelsea Starbuck joined Swansea University as a Lecturer in Sport and Exercise Sciences in 2022. Before joining the University Chelsea held a Research Fellow position at the University of Salford. Chelsea was instrumental in developing research-led assessment and analysis packages for different populations including elite athletes and trauma patients at the MIHP.
Chelsea’s research interests include lower body biomechanics during sport-specific movements, shoe-surface interactions and biomechanical factors associated with ankle and knee injuries and the consequence of these injuries (e.g. knee osteoarthritis and chronic ankle instability).
