Hugh Jones, M.A., Ph.D. (Cantab.), is an Associate Professor at Swansea University Medical School, Director of Admissions and Examinations Officer for the Genetics and Biochemistry Board of Studies. After a Biochemistry degree, Ph.D. and Research Fellowship at the University of Cambridge, he moved to Imperial College London for further post-doctoral work in protein engineering. His research interests are mainly in protein molecular biology, particularly heterologous expression, quaternary structure and folding. He teaches protein structure/function, gene expression and microbiology. He is a member of the Microbiology Society, the Biochemical Society, and the Royal Society of Chemistry.
