About
Dr Eva Chung is a researcher, educator, and practitioner in occupational therapy, rehabilitation and inclusive education. Her research expertise includes community-based inclusive development, developmental disabilities, social robotics, and counselling. Prior to her academic career, she worked as an occupational therapist in hospital and community settings, specializing in community-based rehabilitation. As an academic, she led the team to develop and launch Hong Kong’s first self-financed BSc Occupational Therapy program. While working at the Education University of Hong Kong, she focused on advancing research and was awarded the government’s competitive General Research Fund and other research grants. Her extensive publications cover community-based inclusive development, robotic interventions for children with autism and public health.
