PPS204 Domestic Abuse

This module provides and in depth exploration of the multiple dimensions of domestic abuse, exploring recent debates, socio-political context (including global dimensions), legal dimensions, support and intervention and prevention. Students will explore current rates, causes, consequences and the social and personal impact of domestic abuse, and will explore the social factors which contribute to this phenomenon, and will evaluate current service provision for those affected.
