About

Dr Togneri graduated with an MEng in Aerospace and Aeronautical Engineering from the University of Glasgow in 2007, including a final semester of study at Technische Universität München. He obtained a doctorate from the School of Mathematics in Cardiff University for his work on the development of instabilities in turbulent boundary layers.

Having started his career at Swansea University on the simulation of tidal stream turbines, he has investigated and published on a range of problems in the field of tidal stream energy, including measurement of turbulence, device reliability, and maintenance strategies.

Areas Of Expertise

  • Blade element momentum theory
  • Reliability modelling
  • Turbulence measurement
  • Boundary layer instability
