I received my PhD degree (with honours) in electrical engineering from Amirkabir University of Technology (Tehran Polytechnic) in 2010. I joined Ferdowsi University of Mashhad immediately, where I received the Best Researcher Award in 2015. In 2018, I started collaborating with SPECIFIC (Sustainable Product Engineering Centre for Innovation in Functional Industrial Coatings), which is an academic and industrial consortium led by Swansea University with the vision of ‘buildings as power stations’. Since 2022, I am a senior lecturer at the department of electronic and electrical engineering, where I collaborate with international companies on high-impact research. My current interests include control and utilization of renewable energy generation systems and power electronics in the context of distributed generation, microgrids and smart energy systems. My research has led to many publications in high-ranking journals, and almost all my works include experimental verification. I was appointed Chair of the 8th International Power Electronics, Drive Systems and Technologies Conference (PEDSTC 2017).

In recognition of my efforts and research achievements, I was promoted to IEEE Senior Member rank in 2015. I am an Associate Editor of IEEE Transactions on Industrial Electronics and IEEE Transactions on Power Electronics.
