Dr Sophie Reed is a lecturer within Swansea University Medical School teaching mainly within the Medical Pharmacology BSc course. Sophie was awarded a PhD from Cardiff University’s division of Infection and Immunity in 2022. During this time her research focused on T cell migration in influenza infection. Sophie then joined Professor Cathy Thorntons research group as a post doctoral research fellow in 2022, investigating the effects of air pollution in pregnancy as part of the RESPIRE consortium.
Sophie was appointed lecturer in Medical Pharmacology in 2023 and continues her research efforts in the area of pregnancy immunology.
