About

I am a lecturer at Swansea University. My research interests lie in the filed of applied macroeconomics, DSGE modelling, housing and financial stability, and policy implication. My current research works focus on the housing market in the UK and financial stability in China.

Before joining Swansea University, I was a research associate of Julian Hodge Institute of Applied Macroeconomics at Cardiff University. During this period, I set up a two-region model to study the policy challenge of brining the North’s income up to the level of the South in the UK.

I also worked as a University Teacher at Cardiff University since I had successfully achieved a PhD degree in Economics at Cardiff Business School in 2019. My experience in undergraduate teaching extends to postgraduate teaching in macroeconomics, business economics, econometrics, banking and finance.

I am interested in supervising PhD students in areas of applied macroeconomics and housing market stability.

Taught Modules

EC-M037 Research Methods

This module begins with a review of key mathematical and statistical/econometric techniques before progressing onto more practical applications via the use of statistical/econometric and mathematical software. It also contains sessions on bibliographic database searching and sources of data, which will be beneficial for dissertations.
EC-M038 Econometrics

Econometric Methods aims to provide students with both a theoretical and a practical knowledge of econometric techniques. This is intended to help students with the skills required to perform advanced economic and financial analysis. Practical examples and practical sessions are used to illustrate the concepts involved, and particular emphasis is given to using real data in testing theoretical models and obtaining estimates of key parameters of data generating processes.
