Why Swansea?
Swansea is close to home with a beautiful campus and excellent facilities.

What are your top 3 favourite things about Swansea (the city/area)?
I thoroughly enjoy the coastal scenery and beaches in the Swansea/Gower area. There is always somewhere new to explore and visit. Additionally, as Swansea is a smaller city, it is easy to travel around and make new friends.

Why did you choose to study your degree at Swansea?
For undergraduate: After reviewing course breakdowns at various universities, I found the Biomedical Engineering degree at Swansea to be the most exciting. The course structure blended theoretical and practical learning interestingly and engagingly. I attended an open day and was drawn in by the new facilities and beautiful campus.
For postgraduate: I made great connections during my undergraduate degree and chose to continue my postgraduate studies at Swansea due to the excellent research facilities and support.

What is your favourite thing about your course?
Undergraduate: I liked how passionate each lecturer was about their module and how willing everyone was to help and support students to do their best.
Postgraduate: I enjoy how dynamic a PhD can be and the opportunity to explore new skills. I am part of a diverse research group that is always happy to help and provide great company.

Would you recommend Swansea University to other students?
I highly recommend Swansea to students looking for a supportive community where staff and students work together to create an excellent experience.

Are you/have you been part of a society?
Yes, I was part of the Biomedical Engineering Society where socials helped me engage with peers and make new friends in my field.

Have you accessed student support at Swansea University?
Yes, I have accessed great support options for both studies and personal matters.
