Group Overview
The Vegetation Ecology Group examines how plant communities and individuals are impacted by climate change and environmental change. The VEG group main areas of research include ecosystem function change under changing climate, conservation strategies for individual species facing risk of extinction, food security, and sustainable harvesting of local plant resources. The VEG group works across different plant groups and ecosystems using a variety of approaches, from field work to experimental glasshouse research, with a strong focus to address challenges within sustainable development goals.
