Courses for Professionals

The Switch on Skills project provides free, online and accredited training courses aimed at achieving Net Zero.

Participants can access short micro-credential courses and use these to build qualifications and gain skills.

Funded by Neath Port Talbot Council and the UK Shared Prosperity Fund, the project, in collaboration with industry and academia, delivers a flexible model that utilises advances in online guided learning, in-person teaching and practical sessions.

Led by Swansea University, ION leadership programmes embed permanent and positive change in leadership practice, focusing on finding real solutions for the real issues that leaders, at all levels, face every day.

Delegates develop high quality skills that aim to raise productivity in the workplace, whilst developing profitable and sustainable enterprises that enrich the lives of their employees and have a positive effect on the economy.

The programmes are delivered by business experts, and entrepreneurs at heart, and are based on practical, experiential learning with a trusted group of peers.

The M2A builds on over 25 years of experience of delivering Engineering Doctorates and was one of the pioneering centres for the delivery of the Engineering Doctorate qualifications.

The Materials and Manufacturing Academy (M2A) commenced in 2015 with the aim of creating the future leaders of Welsh industry through industry sponsored postgraduate research.

The M2A has maximised the amount of funding using European Structural Funds to successfully leverage UKRI money with the incorporation of 2 CDTs in Functional Coatings into the operation.
