Industrial Experts
Course Level
Standalone CPD course, with CPD certificate from Swansea University.
Who Should Attend?
Professional engineers who are interested and require training in temporary works.
Date
First week in October.
Duration
It is delivered over a period of 11 weeks, with a 2-hour lecture/discussion class each week. For the first six weeks, there is a 2-hour lecture class each covering one topic from the above list. For the last five weeks, there is a 2-hour group discussion each week, where students ask questions or discuss the group projects with the lecturer. All lectures and group discussions will be live delivered with a video link, and they will all be recorded to allow offline access.
Assessment
CPD students do not get assessed/examined, but they need to participate into all course elements and demonstrate a full engagement by completing the online quiz tests and attending the group project discussions as project mentors. We have found the pairing of full-time MSc students and professional learners in the group projects presents valuable benefits to both sides.
Cost
£400
Location
The course is delivered at Swansea University Bay Campus. For CPD students, the course can be taken remotely through online lectures.
