"My professional network grew in areas that it never would have before"
Dr Angela Martinez Dy, Lecturer in Entrepreneurship, Institute for Innovation and Entrepreneurship, Loughborough University London
"It was exciting to join the Crucible in 2017. Digital entrepreneurship is my specialism, and I especially appreciated making connections with others working more widely across the digital economy, and having exposure to different topic areas from scholars in the natural sciences and HCI. My professional network grew in areas that it never would have before.
The media training was really useful – It strengthened my ability to communicate my research to the media and broader public in an accessible and informative way.
These communication skills are invaluable in the new project for which I am the research lead. Called ‘OneTech’, this is a collaborative industry project led by Capital Enterprise and funded by JP Morgan Chase and the Greater London Authority aiming to increase diversity and inclusion in the London tech startup sector, for which Loughborough University London have secured £100,000 funding."
