Nia Morais is an author, poet and playwright from Cardiff, who writes about identity, self-confidence, magic and horror. Nia is the Sherman Theatre’s Writer in Residence, and she has worked with the theatre to write Crafangau/Claws, an adaptation of A Midsummer Night's Dream (in collaboration with Mari Izzard), and Imrie. She also wrote Betty Campbell - A Journey Through Butetown for Mewn Cymeriad/In Character and Theatr Genedlaethol Cymru. Nia is the Welsh-language Children’s Laureate 2023-2025 and she also works as a translator. She writes bilingually for children and adults.

In this session, Bardd Plant Cymru Nia Morais will be reading Welsh stories written by her in collaboration with the digital literacy platform Darllen Co.
