Owen Sheers is a poet, author and playwright. His 2007 oratorio for children about climate change, The Water Diviner’s Tale, was performed at the BBC Proms and is now an ongoing education project with Opera North. His other work for children includes adapting Michael Morpurgo’s Mimi and the Mountain Dragon and Jenny Nimo’s The Snow Spider for TV. Owen is professor in Creativity at Swansea University and a co-founder of Black Mountains College, a new college focused on sustainable futures. He is a patron of STAMMA and the Children’s Book Show and lives in the Black Mountains of Wales with his two daughters.
