Surrounded by the great lakes Windsor is located right on Canada-USA border, you'll get to enjoy living in this great Canadian city while being just a stone's throw away from a major American city. The climate in Windsor is one of the best in Canada. Winters are relatively mild with occasional cold periods and summers are hot and humid. With a small student to faculty ratio there is plenty of support available.

It will not be possible to complete a year abroad at this University if you have any assessments, such as supplementary or deferred exams, during the August assessment period at Swansea University.

Who can study here?

Swansea has a ‘university-wide’ partnership with this university which means that it is open to all subject areas except for English Language, Education, Law or Biosciences.
Spaces are not guaranteed, can be limited and all students on a semester/year abroad programme are subject to a university-wide, competitive selection process.

Holly (Law & American Studies)

Going on a study abroad year is the best decision I have ever made. Windsor itself is a smaller tight knit city but it’s bursting with character. The University held events like ‘Welcome Week’ which made socialising really easy. Not only was my time abroad enriching in terms of social and cultural experiences but academically it exceeded my expectations as well. I was able to take classes that I wouldn’t have been available to take at Swansea including Canadian Law classes.
My work ethic has changed for the better, as their teaching comprises of smaller more frequent assignments rather than larger one off assessments like Swansea, which has made me a more independent learner.
