Montpellier Business School is located in Montpellier, in the Occitaine region in South West France so you will experience a Mediterranean climate – meaning hot summers and cool winters! A cosmopolitan student city, it is ideally located: perfect for exploring other cities in the South of France such as Marseille, Nice and Cannes; a few hours from ski resorts, and 3 hours from Paris and Barcelona. Boasting of a strong sports and culture scene, Montpellier has top level professional teams in football, rugby and handball, and numerous cultural events and museums where students can discover artistic works from France and abroad. Montpellier Business School holds the three prestigious international accreditations AACSB, EFMD-EPAS and AMBA, a recognition of its academic quality making it an excellent choice for Management students to go on exchange. The University has its own housing platform, and you’ll be able to apply once your place has been confirmed.
It will not be possible to complete a year abroad at this University if you have any assessments, such as supplementary or deferred exams, during the August assessment period at Swansea University.

Important information
ACADEMIC YEAR: Runs September to April.
COSTS: The cost of living in Montpellier will vary depending on your chosen accommodation and your lifestyle. More information on costs will be provided in Montpellier's factsheet.
VISA: You may need to apply for a long-stay visa (more than 90 days) to study in Montpellier and you will be required to provide proof of sufficient funds as part of the application. The fee for the visa application is 99 EUR. Montpellier will provide further information on the visa application process and you can also visit the French Government webpage. You must apply for the visa early to allow plenty of time for your application to be processed ahead of your arrival in France. There can be significant delays so please do not leave this until the last minute as you cannot travel to France without it.
ACCOMMODATION: On-campus accommodation is not available but Montpellier collaborate with third-party accommodation providers, such as Studapart, to offer student accommodation near campus. More information can be found here.
HEALTH INSURANCE: You will need to purchase mandatory health insurance for your time in Montpellier before you arrive in France.
