Matt Hannaford is Managing Partner at Hannaford Turner LLP, a leading maritime law firm in the City of London. Qualifying as a solicitor in 1995, Matt’s principal areas of practice are ship finance, ship construction and ship sale and purchase. Matt lectures regularly on these subjects at academic institutions and industry events. Acknowledged as a leading lawyer in his specialist fields, Matt has sat on several BIMCO committees responsible for the drafting of shipping industry standard forms. He is co-author of Ship Sale and Purchase (Informa, currently in its 7th edn and published in 2023).
