Professor Soyer, Director of the Institute of International Shipping and Trade Law (IISTL) at Swansea University, together with other IISTL members, recently welcomed Dr Song (Managing Director of China Mutual Assurance Association) and Mr Shufeng Cau (Manager of the London Office of the Club) to Swansea.
The visit provided a great opportunity to discuss potential means of collaboration and solid plans that will benefit IISTL's members, students, and the China Mutual Assurance Association.
During the visit, Dr Song and Mr Cau also had the opportunity to view Swansea Law School’s state-of-the-art facilities, including the award-winning Law Clinic and Cyber Security Suite.
Speaking afterwards, Professor Soyer said:
“The IISTL’s ultimate aim is to be at the heart of legal and insurance practice and provide a bridge between academia and practice. This event, which follows a visit and agreement with the IG of P&I Clubs, is yet another indication of the prominent role the IISTL plays in the shipping and commercial world.”
