The Hillary Rodham Clinton School of Law, Swansea University, has been announced as the host of the 2024 edition of the Association of Law Teachers Conference, which is set to take place on April 11th and 12th.

The annual ALT conference brings together legal academics, professionals and practitioners to discuss and celebrate excellence in the teaching of law, and to share best practice.

The 2-day event will take place in the heart of the School of Law, in the Richard Price Building, on Swansea University’s Singleton Park Campus.

This year’s conference theme is ‘Opportunities & Challenges in Legal Education’.

Professor Alison Perry said:

“We are thrilled and delighted to be hosting the Annual Conference of the Association of Law Teachers here at Swansea Law School in 2024.

From the sudden widespread availability of generative AI to the demise of the ‘qualifying law degree’, new challenges/opportunities (depending on one’s point of view) abound.

We warmly invite you to join us in our ‘ugly, lovely town’ for two days of debate, discussion, listening, and learning about some of the current opportunities and challenges in legal education. And perhaps a little unwinding by the sea too."
