Zeiss Primotech

We have 32 Primotech’s that form the main basis of our undergraduate teaching lab. Each of these microscopes is equipped with its own individual iPad that allows for easier collaboration from multiple users. As part of the active classroom setup, this increases the chances for collaboration further by seamlessly integrating with the network, allowing for files to be accessed easier, whilst also giving the opportunity for any microscope image to be viewing on the multiple TV screens around the room.

All these features do not detract from the fact that each of these microscopes are extremely capable pieces of equipment in their own right. Each microscope is equipped with multi-phase analysis, automatic magnification read-out, ability to conduct 2D measurements without the need to import the image into additional software and the ability to conduct manual extended depth of field imaging on samples with large topographical differences.
