A huge congratulations to our School of Management postgraduate student, Dafydd Cotterell, for being selected to win a James Callaghan Postgraduate Research prize.

The James Callaghan Research Prize recognises the outstanding achievement and progress of our current postgraduate students. There were two prizes available, one for an excellent PhD thesis and the other an excellent Research Masters thesis.

Dafydd commented,

“I am delighted to be awarded a James Callaghan Research Prize. After completing my undergraduate degree at the School of Management during 2020, I decided to fulfil my long time ambition and embark on a PhD scheme. At that time we were at the height of the pandemic. I felt that dedicating my PhD to evaluating the experiences of retail businesses during the pandemic would make an impactful and meaningful study. I am happy that my work has been recognised in this way.”

A formal presentation of the awards will take place in 2023, at the annual PGR Festival in May.

Many congratulations to Dafydd!
