Dr Amy Johnson is a Lecturer of Biomedical Science at Swansea University Medical School.
Dr Johnson completed a Bsc (Hons) in Biomedical Science in 2006 and was awarded a Ph.D from Swansea University Medical School in 2011 investigating the Neuroimmune Modulation of the Circadian Clock. Dr Johnson then pursued a number of post-doctoral positions at Swansea University Medical School investigating the neuroprotective role of metabolic peptides in age-related diseases of the brain. She has strong interests in several areas of Neuroscience including Neurodegeneration, Neuroprotection and Neurogenesis. A lecturer at
Dr Johnson lectures on the postgraduate Msc Biomedical Science and specialises in Cellular Pathology. She is a fellow of the Institute of Biomedical Science.
Dr Johnson is also passionate about promoting industrial academic collaborations having spent 10 years in industry.
