About

Ivonne Zavala is a member of the Particle Physics and Cosmology Theory (PPCT) group. Her research interests lie at the interphase of Cosmology and Particle Physics.

Ivonne completed the Part III Certificate of Advanced Studies in Mathematics  (equivalent to master's level) and PhD degrees at the University of Cambridge. After some time as a postdoc in Europe, she joined Swansea as a faculty member in 2014.

Career Highlights

Teaching Interests
I currently lecture Particle Physics 1, an introduction to the fascinating field of elementary particle physics, and the foundation module on Thermal Physics, Waves and Optics, which provides a first introduction into these three important topics, relevant in several areas of physics. I have also thought various advanced courses at postgraduate level.
