About

Dr Fangzhou Huang, who was born and brought up in Beijing, is a senior lecturer in Finance. Dr Huang was awarded his PhD in Finance from Cardiff University having specialised in asset pricing. He gained his MSc in Finance and Investment from University of Aberdeen and BSc in Actuarial Science from CUEB.

Dr Huang is the winner of UK IFS Uni-Investor Challenge 2008 and his research interests include asset pricing, downside risk in stock market, empirical pedagogical research and collaboration with wider research community (e.g. Public Health Wales, NHS). In addition, Dr Huang is an amateur footballer registered with South Wales Football Association (SWFA).

MN-1501 Finance for Managers

This module provides students with an understanding of structure and functions of financial systems, and introduces them to quantitative techniques used in investment and financial decision making at a basic level and is aimed at non-specialists.
MN-2004 Corporate Finance 1

This is an introductory module addressing the main aspects of corporate finance and the financial markets. It requires a modest level of mathematics and whilst it is a self-contained module, it is designed to serve as a basis for further financial modules in the final year of degree schemes.
