At The College, Swansea University, we frequently enroll students under the age of 18. In such instances, students are required to adhere to our Safeguarding and Under 18s Policy, which outlines the expectations during their time with us. If you are assisting your child in applying to study with us, it is highly beneficial to familiarise yourself with this policy for a comprehensive understanding of the guidelines.

At Swansea University, the safety and well-being of our students, staff, and visitors is paramount. Our professional Security and First Response Service, available 24/7, ensures a secure and welcoming experience. With a diverse team trained in first aid, we uphold values of equality and inclusion. Services include emergency response, crime prevention, and more. Your peace of mind matters to us.

Students are also encouraged to download the SafeZone App while studying with us. This ensures quick access to security and first responders via mobile. The app's check-in feature enhances safety, and will only track your location if you have allowed it, in emergency circumstances.

We know it is important for many of our students to have employability options available to them, both whilst studying with us and once they graduate. Luckily here at Swansea University, we have the Swansea Employability Academy (SEA) on hand. The team at SEA is committed to providing both advice and help to all of our students. They will ensure our students learning and career development go hand in hand, which is why they provide industry engagement, work experience, careers fairs, and much more to the students. This helps to constantly build professional development into their learning journey and prepare them for life after university, as well as during their studies.

Having a safe space on our campuses for our students to use is very important to us at The College. Faith@CampusLife serves all students at Swansea University, and everyone is welcomed and supported by this service.

They have The Haven on the Bay Campus, which provides a tranquil space for reflection and engagement with one's faith. Meanwhile, The Lighthouse on Singleton Campus offers a diverse range of religious activities, discussions, and events, promoting a sense of community and understanding.

Bay Campus offers safe and convenient living spaces, providing high-quality en-suite bedrooms (Standard and Premium) just a short walk from The College academic building. By applying early, your child can secure their spot in this supportive community, with peers who will be in the same position as them.
