Course Overview
On this course you will study two languages selected from French, German or Spanish, at least one of which must be at A-level standard or equivalent upon commencement of the course.
In addition to your language modules, you will take two Education modules per year. These modules explore the role of the educator in contemporary educational practice, theories of teaching and learning, means of promoting and protecting well-being in educational settings, as well as leadership and management in education. You may also choose to specialise in digital learning in education and technology-enhanced learning.
By the end of your degree, you should have advanced proficiency in the languages studied, with your language skills and awareness being further complemented by specialist modules in translation and cultural studies.
Whilst this programme is primarily designed for those who are interested in an education-related career, recent graduates have also gone on to find careers in Government, Translation, as well as Marketing and Public Relations.
