Welcome to Swansea!

Swansea University sends a warm welcome to Malaysian students. We have received hundreds of Malaysian students to our safe and friendly campus for many years, allowing us an extensive network of very successful alumni.  Students study with us for a full range of subjects and levels.

WHY CHOOSE SWANSEA?

Swansea University is ranked in the Top 300 in the world in the QS World University Rankings 2026 and 86% of the University's overall research was rated as world-leading or internationally excellent (Research Excellence Framework 2021).

We are a dual campus University, with both of our campuses set in seafront locations and close to the city centre. We pride ourselves on offering a good balance of student life and study environment. We were also named the  7th safest city in England and Wales (Complete University Guide, 2024).

We provide students with support to achieve their academic excellence. Students can take advantage of services available through the Centre for Academic Success to improve their skills free of charge. And that’s not all! Our dedicated Employability Academy provides advice and access to jobs and work experience placements for our students and graduates.

Swansea University and Swansea as a city are both culturally diverse. Our Islamic provision is excellent and helps students settle comfortably into life in Swansea, allowing them to focus on their studies with the support of the Muslim population and services.

We also have a vibrant Malaysian society to meet new friends and other Malaysians.
