Law at Swansea is a new entry in the Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings 2023, entering the league table at 67th in the world.
The THE Rankings have been providing trusted data on world universities since 2004, with the 2023 edition including 1,799 universities across 104 countries and regions, making them the largest and most diverse to date.
13 performance indicators are measured that cover each institution’s performance across four areas:
- Teaching
- Research
- Knowledge transfer
- International outlook
This year’s rankings analysed over 121 million citations across more than 15.5 million research publications, including survey responses from 40,000 scholars globally. Overall, 680,000 datapoints from more than 2,500 institutions were collected.
Swansea University as a whole features amongst the world's top institutions in 10 out of 11 subject rankings, with Law being its highest ranked subject, placing Law at Swansea among the leading universities in the world.
Law’s successes in the THE rankings and other UK and international league tables are evidence of its continued reputation in providing top quality teaching, research, student satisfaction and excellent career prospects.
