Collecting your ID Card – Information for New Students

Welcome to Swansea University!

If you are a new student, you can collect your Swansea University student ID card after you have enrolled.

Please refer to the information below before attending your ID Card Collection venue.

What do I need to do to collect my ID card?

Please check that you have completed the steps below before attending ID Card Collection:

Upload your photo so that we can print your card in advance of your visit
Complete your online enrolment
Check your collection location and opening hours
Remember to bring the passport or alternative ID which you uploaded to the intranet before you enrolled

When and where can I collect my ID card?

Students starting courses on or before 16th September 2024

If your course is based at Singleton Park Campus, you can collect your ID card from Singleton Park Library.

If your course is based at Bay Campus, you can collect your ID card from Bay Library.

If your course is based at St David's Park Campus in Carmarthen, you can collect your ID card from St David's Park Library.

(Please note, the campus where your course is based may not be the same campus as your accommodation. If you are unsure of where your course is based, you can check this on your student profile on the University intranet.)

ID Card collection will be available at Bay and Singleton Park Libraries during MyUni Library Information Desk open hours. Please check our library open hours pages for details of desk hours:

ID Card collection will be available at St David's Park Library during St David's Park Library open hours.

Students starting courses from 23rd September 2024 onwards

If your course is based at Singleton Park Campus, you can collect your ID card from Singleton Park Library.

If your course is based at Bay Campus, you can collect your ID card from Bay Library.

ID Card collection will be available at Bay and Singleton Park Libraries during the following hours:

Tuesday 17^th - Friday 20^th September	10am - 4pm
Saturday 21^st - Sunday 22^nd September	10am - 4pm
Monday 23^rd - Friday 27^th September	10am - 4pm
Saturday 28^th September	Library desks are closed No ID Card Collection
Sunday 29^th September	Bay Library desk is closed No ID Card Collection at Bay Library Singleton Park Library desk is open 12pm - 8pm ID Cards can be collected during desk open hours
Monday 30^th September - Friday 4^th October	10am - 4pm

After Friday 4^th October, any uncollected cards can still be collected from Bay and Singleton Park Libraries during MyUni Library Information Desk open hours.

Important Notice

You must carry your university ID card with you at all times when on campus and present it to university staff upon request. Never give your university ID card to anyone else to use under any circumstances. If you are unable to attend lectures in person, you should inform your department. If you are unable to collect library items in person, you should inform MyUni Library. Improper use of your university ID card can result in you receiving a formal warning and further action may be taken by the university. This may include removal from your course.
