Our Life Science Partnerships and Collaborations
Working with our Regional Partners through major projects we have established Swansea as a key hub for Life Science in the UK, and South Wales. We collaborate with a range of partners across the South, and West Wales region taking clinical challenge from research bench to bedside and back again engaging at an interdisciplinary level to improve the health, wealth and well-being of our city, region and beyond.
Our Regional Partners at the Medical School range from Local and National Governments, Local Health Boards and the private sector.
Working with ARCH and Swansea Bay Region City Deal
We are proud to be part of the £1.3billion Swansea Bay City City Deal. Working through the A Regional Collaboration for Health (ARCH) partnership alongside Abertawe Bro Morgannwg (ABMU) and Hywel Dda University Health Boards, we are working to place the Swansea Bay City Region at the forefront of life science innovation and to be recognised as a destination of choice for global investment and enterprise in the field of life sciences.
Working with our Local Health Boards
We work with our local Health Boards across our learning and teaching, research and enterprise and innovation activities to ensure we make an impact on healthcare, both now and in the future.
Working with HEIW
We work with HEIW to ensure the health and care workforce meets the needs of the NHS and people of Wales. Working closely together, we can ensure Wales is developing the healthcare leaders of today and tomorrow, provide opportunities for the health and care workforce to develop new skill and help support the professional workforce and organisation development profession with Wales.
