Ensuring a safe, welcoming campus environment

Our students’ health and wellbeing is paramount, which is why Swansea University offers a variety of services to assist your child throughout their time at university and ensure their student experience is enjoyed to its fullest.

There are a number of university support services available for all Swansea University students free of charge:

CampusLife

From student welfare to money advice to international support, the CampusLife team offers support to empower your child to achieve their highest educational potential. CampusLife is a one-stop shop that aims to engage the student community and enrich their experience by providing free and confidential advice, guidance, and support services to all students including LGBT+, students of Faith, and those under guardianship or leaving care.

Student Support Services

In addition to the CampusLife services, the Student Support Team offers specialist advice and guidance to any individuals who may experience challenges during their time at university.

To ensure that all Swansea University students have equal learning opportunities, the Student Support Team has been created to offer specialist advice, guidance and support options for students. The services are for students experiencing emotional and personal difficulties, as well as more complex long-term issues including sensory or physical impairments, long-term medical conditions, specific learning difficulties (SpLD), autistic spectrum conditions (ASC) and mental health conditions. Centre for Academic Success

The Centre for Academic Success has been created to allow your child to maximise their potential and succeed with their studies. If your child is transitioning from school or college, or progressing with their higher education studies, our highly qualified staff can help bridge the gap to where they need to be. There are student services available including; courses, workshops, and 1-1 tutorials, designed to improve skills and build knowledge in a wide range of areas.

Students Union

The Swansea University Students' Union represents the needs and opinions of the student body at Swansea University. They have elected Student Officers that each have a defined role or group that they represent on University decision-making committees, local and national government, NUS and many others. The SU also run a number of services for students including an Advice Centre, which offers free, confidential, impartial welfare advice to students on virtually any subject. Safety at Swansea 

The University is committed to providing a safe learning and social environment for its staff and students. There is a police officer based on the campus and a new Police Community Support Officer on hand to advise on crime prevention.
