I was required to do a foundation year at The College, Swansea University, where I then integrated into the Osteopathy programme. Having this option available meant I was able to pursue the course I wanted to, despite not meeting all the undergraduate entry requirements at the point I finished my schooling. The lifestyle Swansea offers also made perusing Osteopathy at Swansea University attractive.

I found it relatively seamless, moving to Swansea. I went through an agency that helped organise my Tier 4 visa, and when I initially moved I had help from my parents to settle in. People in Swansea are very friendly and most people are willing to help if you ask. I also received a welcome pack from The College, Swansea University, which laid out step by step the process upon arrival in the UK.

My top three things about Swansea are:

• The proximity to the lovely beaches
• There are a lot of outdoor activities to do
• There are a wide variety of grocery stores and restaurants that are close by

My favourite thing about my course is the hands-on practical experience with real patients. After I graduate I am planning on obtaining a Graduate Route Visa, which will allow me to live and work in the UK for a further two years. In that time, I hope to secure employment in the UK and gain experience as an Osteopath.

I have loved the university experience and have really found a home in Swansea over the course of my degree. Swansea University offers an excellent education, and it is located in a beautiful area.
