What are your top 3 favourite things about Swansea (the city/area)?
Anywhere near the water. I loved Mumbles, Three Cliffs Bay and the beach opposite Singleton campus.

What are the top 3 skills/experience you think an applicant should have in order to study this course?
Perseverance, critical thinking, ability to learn new software’s/packages

What is your favourite thing about your course?
I loved the range and the depth covered in this course: from anatomy, medical practice ethics to nanoscale simulation. Each module was covered in a lot of detail. Many modules had practical labs as well.

What are you hoping to achieve by completing this Master’s degree?
I want to gain knowledge in the medical radiation field and improve upon my research skills.

How does this Master’s degree build on your existing experience up to this point?
I studied a BSc in Physics and Nuclear Technology with a placement year with INFN. This Masters helped me to provide more of a solid background in medical radiation physics for the PhD in computational biomedical engineering based on cancer research and simulation I am currently doing.

Would you recommend Swansea University to other students? Why?
The professors were great. They had great knowledge and were always open to help either academically or career wise. They presented very stimulating lectures.

Have you had access to any funding opportunities or been awarded any scholarships?
I received the IAEA Marie Sklodowska-Curie Fellowship Programme scholarship for my Masters here at Swansea University, at the time it was offered to women in the nuclear field.
