What is Clearing?

If you’re an international student and still looking to study in the UK this year, Clearing offers another opportunity to secure your place and start your bright future at Swansea University.

Clearing is a process that allows universities to offer remaining course places to prospective students after the main application cycle - usually from 2 July until the start of term in September. It’s open to students who don’t yet have an offer, didn’t meet their conditions, or are applying later in the cycle.

The two routes to apply

There are two main routes for you to apply through, depending on your circumstances:

Route 1 | Apply Directly

If you haven't applied through UCAS, you can apply directly with us now.

You can submit a full application today using our direct application system - it is free of charge, easy to use, and is the best method for applying directly to us outside of UCAS.

Simply use the search tool to find the course you are interested in, and start your application. Whether you have or don’t have your results, we will still be able to consider making you a conditional offer to study with us.
