Swansea is a home away from home for students from all around the globe, who are looking for a place to grow academically, personally and want to set their careers on the right path.

If you are an international student, who is interested in applying to study an undergraduate course at Swansea starting this September, Clearing may be a great option for you.

What is clearing, and what does it mean for international students?

Clearing is an opportunity to secure a place at the university for students who either didn’t apply during the main cycle, weren’t successful in their application or declined their offers. It gives them a possibility to apply for vacant course spaces after the release of the exam results.

As most students in the UK get their results of A-levels (a UK subject based qualification) on 15 August, the timeline of clearing is set around this date. Clearing runs from 5 July until the start of term in September. If you'd like to receive our reminders and tips during Clearing, sign up for our Clearing updates.

Hong Kong Clearing

If you are a student from Hong Kong who is applying via Clearing, our team will be happy to answer your queries and assist you with filling in your Clearing application. Please note, we also accept direct applications. To find out more email yi.yuan@swansea.ac.uk.
