Milton

A lot of this isn't going to make sense to you and I'm sorry about that. I'll start at the beginning with the house. One day I woke up walking down a foggy and deserted road. A little girl ran up to me. She had gorgeous ginger locks and was wearing an old blue floral dress. ‘Oh my gosh you're here, you're here!” She screamed. “I must go tell mother!” My heart dropped. She grabbed my hand
and ran to this towards the old multicoloured house. It didn't stand tall like other houses It was of to a slant like it was hanging off something. It was right next to some water which scared me a little. “Who Are You” I pleaded. “Oh I'm terribly sorry my name is Annie and your name is Ava!” I stood still. An old lady ran up to me and kissed me on the forehead. “Milton, Milton tell me where is Milton” She wined. “Edie! calm down she doesn’t even know who we are yet!” Annie looked at me, “I'm sorry, this is Edie my mum.” My jaw dropped. Her Mum! She looks like an eighty-year-old woman! I became curious and asked. “Who Is Milton?” Her mother started to weep. “My brother Milton disappeared when I was 9. It was like the house had swallowed him up. We hadn't been back since his funeral, we've been searching for you! And now we can finally find him!” She started to jump up and down with excitement. “Milton I don’t know anybody called Milton" I thought to my self. “Come in, come in” She pronounced. She walked into this old house. It was like a bomb had gone off killing everyone but sparing the furniture. As a child the house made me uncomfortable in a way I couldn't put in to words but now as an eleven-year old I knew exactly what those words were, I was scared of the house. Edie sat me down at the table. “Would you like a biscuit darling?” “No thanks” I murmured. I felt bad. Edie kept telling me about Milton how he had ginger locks just like Annie and how he was the sweetest boy in the world. I felt terrible they had been through so much and know I'm going to tell them that I don't know Milton. I was so nervous so I just said it. “I'm sorry but I don't know who Milton is” I explained. Their hearts dropped. All eyes were on me now. Their facial expressions changed from happy to devastated. “Excuse me for one moment please” I stuttered and ran outside. I saw a bike and I jumped on to it I pedalled all the way up the hill as fast as I could. Suddenly a boy ran in front of me and I swerved around into a bush. All I could see was darkness. Then I heard “Ava, Ava! Are you okay!” A deep male voice screamed. I looked up and saw a boy with ginger curly hair and a name tag on his t-shirt spelling “MILTON”

Wake Up And Be Awesome 

I see my dreams far off in the distance.
Shouting, calling for me. Pulling me in.
The sound echoing, like a thunder cloud.
Hard to get out of my head.
Dream big, Dream huge, Dream enormous.

One mind focussed on the goals.
Preparation, training, growing strength.
Criticism, judgement and faults.
Years, flipping to perfection!

5 rings, blue, yellow, black, green and red.
Opponents Gold, silver and bronze.

Inspiration from peers,
motivation from Coaches,
courage from within.
Dream, fantasy, ambition, hope, wish, desire.

HEART SET.

Swansea Nan

Walking through the tunnel, crowds of people roaring,
While the stewards just think it’s boring,
The whistle blew and the game began
And all I saw in the crowd was Nan.
She was cheering loudly, in her Swansea shirt,
When the ball whacked her in the face – it hurt!
The corner was taken, I jumped up! The ball was suddenly at my foot.
With the sweetest of strikes it flew into the goal… and everyone just lost control.
Nan smiled and remembered with her hands in the air…
She was wearing her lucky underwear.

My Favourite Dream

I was flying, flying on a real dragon! And not any dragon, the Welsh dragon!
It was 200 metres long and burning scarlet. The wingspan was 100 metres, the teeth like daggers sparkling in the sun.
And the claws like metre long scimitars. And that was just the start!
The view was astounding! The mountains were grey and green, capped with white snow, like white diamonds.
The lush, chattering, dark green forest stretched beneath us like a carpet into distance.
And the little houses, brown dots in-between the mountains, with golden light poking in and out the windows.
The Welsh dragon began the slow descent. As I got off I felt a pang of sadness that this noble creature would not be with me.
When I woke up the blue light of day was shining through my curtains.

My Opposite Dream

Fy Hoff Freuddwyd    

Un noson ges i freuddwyd,
un dda meddwn i.

Roedd y noson yn hwyl,
a llawn sbort a sbri.

Roedd y bobl yn fefus,
a'r coed yn hufen iâ!

Y dwr yn ysgytlaeth siocled,

My Favourite Dream

One stormy night, when I was dreaming of me looking after my animal friends in the jungle (our home) my animal friends Jeffry the giraffe, Ellie the elephant and Rony the rhino. We decided to go for a walk so I said “why don’t we go our normal route” but Rony said “why don’t we go on an adventure” but I said “no”, but Jeffry and Ellie said “please can we go on an adventure”.

So we went on our way and then we found a time machine so we went in and explored “don’t press
anything” I shouted, but Rony pressed two buttons at the same time and we went flying off and
when we landed I shouted at Rony “WHAT DID I TELL YOU ABOUT PRESSING THE BUTTONS”

“Ummmmmm I forgot” said Rony “any way where are we” I said, Jeffrey said “it looks like we are at a
palace, wow soooooooooooooooooooooo cool”.

So we crept in to have a look around we discovered that the palace was owned by an old witch and her pet mouse called Bob. Bob the mouse spotted us whilst looking for his cheese that the witch had hidden so we had to scurry off and hide Rony shouted “over here guys, in the fruit bowl” the witch shouted “what is all the noise” Bob the mouse said, “it is just me looking for my cheese”.

The witch approached the fruit bowl and Bob shouted to us “quick, jump in here” so we jumped and landed with a splosh “mmmmmmmm coffee” said Jeffry “I will help you out soon” said Bob the mouse. “BOB WHERES MY COFFEEEEEEE” shouted the witch “coming now you old witch “he muttered under his breath. He took the coffee and returned to me and my friends Bob the mouse tipped the coffee pot out to release us and showed us a secret passageway out of the palace and he came with us back to our time machine but it wasn’t where we left it……

Bob went to go and get a magic carpet that the old witch had hanging on her wall, he flew around and found the time machine and picked us up, we flew over the mountains back home to the jungle and invited Bob to live with us, we will grow you a cheese plant. Just at this point I woke up from my dream and found out that I am

My Favourite Dream

I have dreamt about some incredible things,
Like swimming with the turtles in the bright blue ocean,
Speaking to the birds flying high above the treetops,
And drinking a magical, bubbling potion,
But none compare to my favourite,
Most magical dream of all,
The one sparked by my love of all things cute,
And fluffy that chase a ball….
Have you guessed?
Well the best dream I’ve ever had,
Was that I was surrounded by adorable pups,
The tiny, little tails wagging and,
They were as dainty as buttercups,
Their fur was soft and fluffy,
It rubbed against my skin,
Their warmth made me feel safe,
And their cuddles made me grin,
To the left of me an Alsatian,
Staring at me with loyal eyes,
Its thick fur, rich browns and blacks,
And its velvety stomach, the colour of the sunrise,
Sitting happily on my legs,
Two adorable sausage dogs,
With cute tails, that looked like worms,
And they were only the size of a hedgehogs,
Rolling about on the floor,
A couple of excitable Dalmatians,
Play fighting with their siblings,
What lively, spirited creations,
Chocolate, golden and black Labradors,
Envelop me with wet licks and warm cuddles,
Their ears flopping as I rub them,
And their wet tongues feel like a water puddle,
The dream went on for what felt like hours,
Although I can’t complain,
For every puppy in my imagination,
Was as cute, even the Great Dane,
As the sun crept in through my window,
And awoke me from my sleep,
I instantly missed the warm hugs and cuteness,
But the memory I’ll keep!

I dream one day that I shall live in Paris
I dream that I will picnic under the Eiffel Tower
I dream that the city I love so much will be at my doorstep
I dream my family will always visit
Oh I have a dream

My Favourite Dream

Gaggy my hero was taken from me,
She taught me to skip and read passionately.
With her heart so loving, she took care of us all, Gaggy my hero was the best of them all.
She was taken away but her memory lives on, She surrounds me all the time and is never gone.
She guides me and comforts me night and day, When I close my eyes she’s never far away.
I dream of her smell her sight and her sound, When I close my eyes she’s always around.
With adventures aplenty and memories to share,
Gaggy my hero is always there!

My Favourite Dream

in the woods with mum I found a huge egg. At home I wrapped it in my quilt. the bed started shaking. there was a humming sound coming from the quilt. I moved the quilt to see. it was shining. I watched. crack. A puff of smoke and glitter. Sparkling. A little blue face. cute silver eyes stared at me. Another crack freed blue wings. He gave a meep noise, like a kitten and snuggled to me. His tongue flicked out licking my chin. He wiggled closer to me. I had a dragon and he thought I was his mum.

Paradise

Snuggling down into my warm comfy bed,
My heavy eyes close and take me to paradise,
I see the big blue sky waving down on me,
The warm sun and the sparkling rain,
Making a rainbow as colourful as flowers in summer,
Fairies as delicate as petals dance when the rainbow comes out,
I smell wild roses growing in the sunlight,
I hear calm birds chirping,
Clouds as tasty as candy floss,
The sea as clear as crystal,
Magical animals come into my world as the moon rises,
My paradise is my hidden sleep place.

My Favourite Dream

I went to sleep one evening,
Suddenly waking in the night,
Could it be I was dreaming?
What an amazing sight!
I was lying by a glistening pool,
With fruity cocktails in my hand,
I certainly wasn't at school,
Beneath I could feel soft, golden sand.
The sun was shining so bright,
I thought that I was burning,
In the distance I could see Disneyland lights,
And hear laughter and screaming.
Oh, please don't ever let this dream end,
This is my paradise view,
If only I could wave a magic wand,
Could dreams just possibly come true?

My Delicious Woodland Daydream 

My family and I set off to the woodland forest, where all my imaginative ideas are:
Moss is apple candyfloss, trees hide fairies’ homes, mushrooms are fluffy marshmallows and there is
a yummy hot chocolate waterfall.

The badger hole is a caramel dipper and bluebells are bubble-gum.
I look up and see a strawberry sherbet pink cloud surrounding the orange gummy sun.

I can feel lemon and lime shoelaces bursting under my shoes. I throw my dogs a 
chocolate finger stick for them to retrieve.

I can’t wait for a beach walk, imagine what I will see then!

My Favourite Dream

One warm, calm night in the Spring,
I awoke with an urge to sing.
I still recall, it was the breaking of dawn,
A dream about a frolicking fawn.

She was dancing in grass, covered in dew,
Of a rich emerald green, shining through.
In a clearing with bluebells, sapphire, fragrant and tall,
Spinning round, I gazed at them all.

At times when I'm sad and the world looks so grey,
I remember this dream, as clear as that day.
Each new day is a fresh, new beginning,
And we should all just keep on singing!

Dreaming of Aderyn 

I adore Aderyn, my flying horse, soaring into the sky. Her black main swishing in the wind, her reins flying in the air.
But above all when I glance down below me, I see the most amazing sight of all, the coastline of Wales.
Barafundle Bay with its calm seas and soft sand and then again Tenby with its colourful cliffs and winding streets.
Suddenly Aderyn my flying friend changes course and swoops to the ground, I feel her powerful hooves thundering through the sand.
Now we trot softly, Aderyn and I, enjoying the peaceful view. Gee up Aderyn, I'll see you soon.

My Favourite Dream

My favourite dream happened in a land far away
It lasted inside for much longer than a day
With crimson branches on the amethyst trees
And rainbow birds and green and pink bees

The little people would shout and sing
And they would say come on just do your thing
It didn’t make sense my little world
But as I walked along another unfurled

Confusing my brain and tickling my senses
There was suddenly grass and old wooden fences
Beyond that land was another yet again
But this one was a hot deserted plain

And now my mum is waking me up
Shaking and talking and oh here comes the pup
She is licking me til I am fully awake
And I’m stretching my body now, until it aches
I will visit my secret little world again
But for now I’m stuck with paper and a pen

Midnight Dream

My eyelids began to close, slowly drifting away into another world. As night fell the blue haze of day lifted to reveal the stars.
I gazed for a second, blinded by the flickering of thousands of tiny dots. I had entered a world where the virus was no longer. The panic had shifted back to our normal lives, from meeting our friends to attending school. The world was better than ever. It was magical. From watching the birds sore in the crystal clear sky to the insects crawling amongst the grass, everything was perfect. My blissful dream came to an abrupt end by a sharp clatter of toys falling, my eyelids shot wide open, and yet I found myself in the real world, where corona was
still alive and fighting. Nothing had changed!

My Favourite Dream

Terrified I stumbled, blind as a bat, feeling my way through the forest. I heard a breath-taking roar not too far away…Five minutes later I heard it again, louder this time. Now that I was closer it sounded like it was hurt…Asking for for help. I pushed away the vines as they gripped me. There he lay- the poor tiger, moaning. I rushed over – it looked like a nasty Jaguar bite. I plucked a leaf, wrapped it round the leg. “Better?” I asked as the tiger looked up. “Thank you, little girl, for your kindness.” I was happy here.

My Favourite Dream

It was 7am when I dreamt of the best dream ever, I dreamt that life and the world was back normal.
It was an amazing dream, there were blue skies, the sun was shining, and it felt magical.

My dream started when I heard on the news that we were all allowed to go back to school. I jumped with excitement as I was going back to school to see all my teachers and going to see all my friends. I ran to my 4-year-old sister, and said, Gracie we are going back to school to see all our teachers and friends. I rang my grandparents with excitement, I was so excited to go back around my grandparents to have homemade cake and lots of treats.

We then got all our things ready for school, I cried with excitement. I was so excited that things were going back normal. We got to school, we all had a lovely welcome and during the day we all discussed how life was around the world and about Covid 19.

This day was so great, we were all outside playing football talking to each other and racing and if we fell it did not really matter as we were all together. At the end of the school day I was so excited for my grandparents to pick me up and enjoy lots of feasts around their house. I remember jumping into my Nannie's car and having such a lovely conversation. When we got to my grandparent's house it was lovely for us all to be together, we were all smiling, laughing, and having so much fun.

At 4pm, I was getting little butterflies in my belly as the excitement was unreal, I was going back to my first football training session at Meadow view with my coaches Gary & Sam. I remember this moment so much, putting on my white Swans football Kit with Number 23 at the back with the name Connor Roberts. I was really looking forward to the next Swansea City game down the Liberty Stadium.

My uncle Jon-Jo dropped me to my football session, I remember getting out of the car and thinking about how many goals I was going to score today. Seeing my friends being able to give them a high five was such a memorable moment. I scored and shouted with joy and then I woke up.

I woke up and realised this was a dream, but dreams do come true! Hopefully, this will be soon.

Chocolate Land

As I lay in bed awake
to Chocolate Land my brain does take
I love to look at the Curly-Wurly trees
As I drift away on Nutella seas
I gaze above and see the button moon
Shining as bright as my silver spoon
Chocolate land is my sleepy happy place
You can tell by my chocolate covered face

My Favourite Dream

My dream starts with a stream,
going down a bumpy path,
through the woods, I could see the moon beam,
and the birds soaking in the stream taking and birdbath.

I walked down the path and decided to visit grandpa,
In the distance, I saw grandpa's house,
I knocked on his door,
Ah! there was a mouse.

Grandpa answered the door in his pyjamas,
holding a pair of trousers
I stepped into the cosy cottage,
And there it was the familiar smell of sage.

I looked over the stove and I saw a cooked chicken,
we ate together as we usually do,
I made my way home from the cosy cottage,
with my kitten trotting alongside too
Looking forward to mum's raspberry pie too.

Discovering the deep and below – a Marine Biologist
 
Have you ever wondered where the creatures go?
Are they up in the sky or hiding below?

I always wondered what I could be,
Discovering creatures from under the sea.

Travelling the world boat by boat,
Examining fish that might just float!

I’ll be testing creatures from oceans afar,
Making discoveries that are bizarre!

I might need help along the way,
Making new friends that save the day!

You will never know how far I could go,
I might become a marine pro!

The night was cold with the frost creeping in, the man in the darkness was just coming up to a thick hedge and stopped almost suddenly and started to mutter some strange words like; “boocanga, canga, lingang, boo booooo....” the man was saying repeatedly and started waving his hands in the air like a loony. He then stopped and was engulfed by light. When the light had gone the man had gone with it and it was like someone had kidnapped him. Well that was what the little boy thought, who had been watching the man doing this absurd thing.
