Welcome to the fourth edition of Pulse magazine
Here at Swansea University we pride ourselves on using our research, learning and teaching to make an impact. Welcome to the fourth edition of Pulse magazine.
Our research and the impact it has on the world is important to us and we are committed to tackling global challenges to improve the health, wealth and wellbeing of our society. The strength of our research community is in our people and their ambition for excellence.
By working collaboratively, our talented researchers are pushing boundaries in their fields. Testament to this dedication, the last year has seen the quality of our research recognised in the Research Excellence Framework (REF2021), with 85% of our research being rated as world-leading or internationally excellent overall. This not only translates into better outcomes for patients, but also has a tremendous impact on our teaching and the experience of our students.
Results from league tables, both national and international, continue to highlight strengths across our three Schools, relating to research quality, teaching excellence, graduate employability, graduate prospects and student satisfaction year on year.
We have taken great pride in looking back at the accomplishments of our staff and students alike - both on academic and personal levels. This edition of Pulse will give you a glimpse of some of the amazing work that has taken place this past year and I sincerely hope you can see yourself as part of our wonderful community in the future.
