Supporting athletes on the international stage

Away from the competition lanes, Swansea University Athlete Support Officer Verity Cook will be part of Team England Swimming’s para support team.

As Para Support Team Manager, Verity will support athletes during the preparation camp in Manchester and throughout the six days of competition in Glasgow. Her role will include coordinating transport and daily schedules, providing poolside support, and helping swimmers enter and exit the pool safely. Verity said:

My role involves ensuring athletes are fully supported both practically and personally, so they can focus on performing at their best on the international stage.

"The Games are a major moment for everyone involved, and Swansea University Sport wishes all of the athletes, alumni and staff members the very best in Glasgow".
