Dr Davies joined the School in 2001 having commenced his career at the University of Southampton. His PhD on international public procurement regulation was completed at the University of Nottingham.
His research interests are in the area of international economic law and he is a co-author of World Trade Law: Text Materials and Commentary. He is particularly interested in the interface between the trade law and investment law regimes, and how each regime responds to the tension between liberalization and space for states to regulate in the public interest. Dr Davies teaches World Trade Law and Commercial Law. He also provides Welsh language seminars in Contract Law.
