About
Kelly is a social scientist with expertise spanning Sociology, Criminology, Public Health and Social Policy. Her research focuses on what works to address ‘wicked’ social problems, in particular all forms of Violence Against Women Domestic and Sexual Violence (VAWDASV). Kelly has particular research expertise in the development and evaluation of multiagency, complex interventions to prevent violence, abuse and harm, particularly in relation to the role of health in responding to Domestic Violence and Abuse. She has also conducted related research on housing/homelessness, Relationship and Sexualities Education (RSE), and Child Sexual Exploitation.
Kelly is a mixed methods researcher, who has significant experience of producing research informed by and amplifying the voices of those with lived experience, and is passionate about young people and survivors’ meaningful involvement, participation and coproduction in research, and using innovative creative and participatory methodologies.
