Leanne is part of the People and Organisation Group within the School of Management. Areas of research interest include work and labour, especially those that exist outside of the standard employment relationship such as voluntary work and other forms of unpaid labour. A particular interest is the interface between work, life, family and community and the increasing reliance on unpaid work under contemporary capitalism. She obtained her PhD from Cardiff University, which examined the increasing role of the voluntary sector in the provision of public services during times of economic and political change and uncertainty.
