Course Overview
Our internationally recognised Adult Nursing degree will give you the skills and experience to enter a rewarding career in this diverse and essential profession.
This programme is set apart from our full-time variant by a 30-hour week, shorter periods of study, and a blended approach of guided, online and on-campus teaching. This is combined with an increased amount of annual leave, and flexibility to manage clinical practice hours across the working week, which all come together to help you balance your commitments throughout the programme.
Over the course of this 4-year NMC-approved and HEIW-commissioned programme, you will learn about the holistic needs of people, from early adulthood through to geriatrics.
Grounded in the philosophy of person-centred, evidence-based, and values-driven care, the programme emphasises compassion, inclusivity, and partnership with people, families, and communities.
Our curriculum has been developed to be responsive to changes in society and healthcare, and your learning will reflect the public’s expectations of the nursing profession. With 50% of the programme based in a range of clinical and community settings you will develop the skills and experience to deliver safe, compassionate and effective nursing care.
We have excellent relationships with many healthcare providers, so you will have access to a wide range of placements across Southwest Wales, which take place in the NHS, and the independent sector, in hospitals and community settings.
