As in any MA level programme, the key element is the major project or dissertation that is worth 60 credit and enables students to develop expertise in a specific area of interest. It is important that potential students give this some thought before arriving and have a general idea of what part of communications, media, PR or creative practice that interest them, so that they have a good starting point from where to refine the project with the help of a supervisor.
Students should be computer literate, with a good level of competence using Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and so on. While the Microsoft suite can be downloaded for free once you are enrolled a student at Swansea, ideally you should also have access to a computer/laptop that can support this software, so that you can continue you with your work when not in the specialist labs.
